First Carlist War- French Foreign Legion complete!

My first Carlist War collection has been glacial in its progress.  Gradually I’m getting there.

The French are done or very nearly so.  I await QRF releasing the promised requisite mounted Brigadier. Meantime one of the Cristino commanders can stand in.  The rest though are here and table ready.

Two battalions of infantry from QRF.

Nice figures as the rest of the infantry in their Carlist War range tend to be.  In most circumstances the infantry of the Legion were likely to be the most formidable troops on the battle field.

The Legion Lancers also from QRF.  I think these just about pass muster.  The repurposed single pose horse doesn’t charm me.The Lancers were good troops sometimes deployed with the Legion and sometimes brigaded elsewhere.  Many of the troopers were Polish.

A battery of howitzers from QRF. Good enough, nice artillery pieces but two lads holding a cannon ball in the same crew of four?  Surely an officer would be more appropriate?

Still, and all I'm glad to have them and no one else makes them in this scale.

So, there we have it.  Another First Carlist War 18mm milestone passed.
