ACW Confederate Infantry Brigades 15mm

 

I had started out with the intention of having 3 infantry brigades.  Now, it seems I’ll have 5 in total. 

Mainly QRF with some Peter Pig and Minifigs command.

This one is defending.

All are very good figures.  The brigades are more or less generic and will also,hopefully, pass as the Army of North Virginia.

 

Louisiana Tiger Zouaves from QRF.  I've had these ones since the Outrage at Forde's Theatre or then abouts.

I've been pretty selective in my choice of QRF figures that said I'm very pleased with the ones I chose.  I've also been very impressed with the Minifigs that have come my way via ebay.  

Single pose (ish) for sure but they will mix nicely.  Here's another.

That is my ACW Project done for the moment.  Rescued from neglect and oblivion.  

I can now play some ACW games-at last.  Mission accomplished, for the moment.

 

ACW Confederate Cavalry and Artillery 15mm

 

More progress on my ACW Rescue Project.  Today, we have the cavalry and the artillery for the Confederacy.  There will be another battery of two guns.  I’ve used a mix of figures.

Here are the artillery.   

Guns from QRF, Gunners and limber from Peter Pig. 

Once again, I commend Martin on this limber and crew. I have 2 of them for this brigade.

Now the cavalry, one from Battle Honours, two from QRF. 

I chose to do two Virginian and one Texas regiments. 

From "Use your pistols like gentlemen." to "Stick to your sabres."

Here they are dismounted, all Battle Honours. Morale is getting shaky, maybe someone's spotted Braxton Bragg.

Horse holders to follow. I seem, again, to have a glut of the latter.

I’m aiming for a cavalry brigade of three regiments with a battery of two guns in support.

Next up, the Confederate infantry brigades.

ACW Union Cavalry and Artillery 15mm

 

 Today, we have the cavalry and the artillery for the Union.  Both are two thirds done.  There will be another cavalry regiment and a third battery.  I’ve used a mix of Manufactures figures.

Here is the artillery.  Guns from QRF, Gunners and limber from Peter Pig.  Martin has excelled himself with this limber and crew. I have 2 of them for my Union cavalry brigade.

Now the cavalry, all from Battle Honours. I chose to do New York and Michigan regiments. The third will also be a New York outfit.

 

They are, as you would expect, lovely figures. 

Here they are dismounted.  Horse holders to follow. I seem to have a glut of the latter.
