Another 5 French battalions based for Beneath the Lily Banners. Above the Foot Guards first battalion, I really should do the second one too.
The Swiss, always reliable.
Zulauban's Regiment. Swiss led Germans who distinguished themselves in Ireland.
Regiment Famachon a Walloon formation.
Regiment Dauphin with their spectacular flags. French Dragoons next.
Nice work OB, I think the Dauphin flag is my fav French flag of the period and I've not even painted the unit up yet!!!
ReplyDeleteCheers Ray. It is a cracker. One of David's at Not By Appointment.
DeleteLovely units as always:)
ReplyDeleteThanks kindly Steve. I honestly found the figures a real pleasure to paint. Rare when you have to do so many.
ReplyDeleteNice. I like the big flags. In my case I just dispensed with the standard bearers and stuck them straight in the bases.
ReplyDeleteCheers Trebian. Yes, those ones are also stuck to the base.
ReplyDeleteSuperb looking regiments
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Neil.
ReplyDeleteSuper looking units. You must be very pleased with them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Richard. I do feel this project has come together nicely.

ReplyDeleteVery nicely done! That Dauphin flag is spectacular, isn't it? If you want to "upgrade" ;-) a couple of flags, I do have the Swiss Guards flags I can let you have (it's not on the blog yet). Is the French Guards flag mine?; I'm not sure as it looks very pale in your image...
ReplyDeleteCheers,
David.
Thanks David. Yes, it is one of yours. Maybe the shot had too much light.
ReplyDeleteI'd very much like the Swiss Guards flags. I'll drop you a line at your blog.
Ah, right - yes, photographs can be very deceptive! I've not had a message yet via my blog; hope it hasn't gone astray somehow...
ReplyDeleteCheers,
David.
