These are my first Union troops. Union Brigades could be a mixed bag. The Union did not brigade troops by the State they were raised in. These regiments are simply the ones I painted first.
Top of the page are some USA regulars raised before the War.
Next one of the Irish regiments on the Union side. Mainly distinguishable by their flags use of Irish iconography these ones have also decorated their hats with sprigs of boxwood substituting for Shamrock.
Next two generic union regiments one in firing line and the other marching.
I particularly like these figures.
Next a small unit of Berdan’s Sharpshooters, a useful firepower enhancing addition.
Finally, the 5th New York Zouaves.
