The Irish Jacobite infantry completed

My final two Irish Jacobite regiments of foot.  The Lord Grand Prior’s Regiment sometimes called Talbot’s Regiment.  Their flag, a burning town with the warning “The Fruits of Rebellion” is memorable.

Let me draw your attention to the two grenadiers here from Dixon.  I must have painted these two 30 years ago and luckily they survived.  I’ve painted the burning town on the front of their caps.  Not something I could easily do now.  Ah well, time marches.

Lord Eustace’s Regiment here.  By the time of Aughrim they were a fierce band of old soldiers reaching the dizzy heights of Veteran Elite in Beneath the Lilly Banners terms.

Finally, a generic Irish Jacobite pike and shot regiment.

That’s the Irish Jacobite infantry done for now.  Additionally, my French Army will be getting Clare's and Berwick's battalions.  Meantime I'll begin with the Irish Jacobite dragoons for this one.

  1. More lovely units and the first one's flag is brilliant. The fact that you painted the picture onto the grenadiers caps is certainly mad, but fantastic too:).

  2. Thanks Steve. Back when I painted those caps I had very little time to paint. They must have been done on some long gone sunny morning.
